Stingray Sam download
I received this recently and thought it may interest a few people: "Dear friends of Stingray Sam, The American Astronaut and BNS, STINGRAY SAM continues to kick major hind-side in festivals around the world, and we are planning for the online and theatrical release mid-September (DVD and soundtrack ...

Suggestion for next year
How about having a competition at the end of the festival, giving a prize to the person who can list all the games (preferably in order) showcased in the EA promo that is shown throughout the festival?

Should be of interest to most of you... http://www.superstructgame.org/ http://www.iftf.org/node/2302 It's a warm September morning in the year 2019, and you snap on NPR's Morning Edition to catch a few minutes of the news before biking off to work. But an older and wiser Steve Inskeep has grim news...

Sad news, but how wonderful to have lived to 90 and to have had such a great impact on your world.

William Gibson event
I enjoyed the event (although it annoys me that you have to buy hardbacks at book signings. I'm just not a fan of them.) For those of you who attended... there was a question from the audience asking Mr Gibson what was on his t-shirt. I think the answer was something about a 'full dog'. Forgive my s...

New board
I like the clean lines etc but agree with the previous poster about the font size. The font should be bigger. Anyone with a visual disability will have trouble reading it. I have this thing about websites that leave empty blocks on each/any side of the screen and then use small print to cram in all ...

Use of the term 'science fiction' in popular culture
http://www.wired.com/culture/culturereviews/news/2007/04/scifighetto_0412 This so annoys me. What is it with the hang up with the term 'science fiction'? I've never seen so many sci-fi /fantasy derived shows on tv and at the cinema as in the past few years. I actually thought sci-fi was becoming mor...

The Doc is Back! sires 3 31st march
I was a bit worried when the Doctor mentioned Harry Potter in the last episode. It's not that I'm anti-Potter (although after reading a couple of the books I have no desire to read the rest) but I just don't feel it was right. I can't put my finger on why though... Also - was that a HP magic word us...

The Doc is Back! sires 3 31st march
I hope they don't 'spice it up'. I kind of like an a-sexual Doctor. I want to see sci-fi when I watch Dr Who, not romance.

Heroes
I've seen the first season and loved it. It has similarities to Lost (in a production sense) but I felt it was less of a soap opera - which is good. The style echoes that of a comic book and the story covers some interesting topics (eg: drug abuse) which gives it some bite. Definately worth checking...
