Psychoville

Anyone catch the first episode of Psychoville last night? I really enjoyed it, even if the BBC had completely failed to promote the programme in advance to its target market: ie. me! :?:

Available on the iplayer obviously for those who missed it.

Re: 2009 48 hour challenge

Should be announced at the SCI-FI-LONDON Awards, on Sunday at 6:30pm: http://www.sci-fi-london.com/festival/2 ... awards.php

It's a free event, but you'll need to reserve tickets from the box-office if you want to attend! Good luck everyone! :)

Re: Heroes No more?

According to reports, it looks like Heroes will be picked up for yet another season! http://scifiwire.com/2009/04/will-these-11-sci-fi-show.php#more Personally I can't understand this, as the current series just feels like it's circling the drain! - I'm only continuing to watch now out of some perha...

Re: Sleep Dealer

Saw the trailer for this here: http://www.apple.com/trailers/independent/sleepdealer/ Doesn't look brilliantly well made, but I like the ideas (- particularly the imigrants doing work in the US via remote operated robots!). I'm assuming that SFL couldn't get it because the distributor is going for a...

Re: SyFy

This is only really for people who wouldn't normally watch the channel, and can't read phonetically. - But if it works, it works. I particularly like: 'Building on 16 years of water-cooler programming...' - Ah, so they've been programming for water-coolers all these years, it all makes sense now! :m...

Spider-Man: The Musical

I kid ye not! "A musical based on the Marvel comic book hero Spider-Man will open on Broadway in 2010. Spider-Man: Turn Off the Dark will include the story of the superhero's origins and will feature music and lyrics by U2 members Bono and The Edge." http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/entertainment/7909772....

Pride and Predator

Is this the best title for a movie since 'Snakes On A Plane'?

Exec Produced by Sir Elton John no less!: http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/entertainment/7894259.stm

It'll be rubbish mind! :?

Re: Y-Wings – worst spaceship ever created?

B-Wings have a rotating cockpit. This makes them cool in my book (- I'm easily pleased!). - Why they're called B-Wings however, remains a mystery! Y-Wings on the other hand, well. Anyone who's ever played any of the old Rogue Squadron games will tell you: they're ugly, a heap of junk to fly, and onl...

Re: MST3K ALLNIGHTER 2009

Tickets usually go on sale about a month before the festival (- last year, the first week of April), so you've got plenty of time yet! If you're worried though, then why not sign up to the Mailing List (at: http://www.sci-fi-london.com/mailing-list/), or perhaps even one of the other myriad Sci-Fi-L...

Re: Tin Tin movie - some cast, writers and director...

Heard this on BBC Radio 5 Live today. According to them it's a trilogy, with 3 different Directors, Serkis is playing Haddock (- fairly common knowledge I think), and Simon Pegg and Nick Frost will be the Thomson Twins (erm... :?:). Not sure about the Motion Capture side though. But then perhaps a 3...

Re: Heroes No more?

Couldn't agree with you more Shaz. The first season of Heroes was one of the finest First Seasons of a TV show that I've seen, (- and, with the exception of a slightly anti-climactic finale, consistent throughout). But season 2 was poor, even before the writers strike, and the third, whilst better, ...

Re: New Who

Some of the things that Sark's listed here do infact come from other epidoes, but others are indeed totally new and disposable. Case in point, and I was thinking about this the other day: what happened to The Shadow Proclamation from the earlier episode?!? And no, as far as I know, that kind of re-g...
