Re: direct a film

Well, to quote SF London itself-

"Gareth Edwards (Factory Farmed), has just had the World Premiere of his début feature MONSTERS at SXSW in Texas, and he told us that the film got greenlit on the strength of 'Factory Farmed'"

So I'm guessing entering the 48hours can make dreams come true.

As it happens I like Wolufs, and people in blue :P

Still, I wonder what SF2010 has for us this time...

Re: SyFy

Personally I never had a problem with Sci-Fi until I was informed I had a problem with Sci-Fi and hence forth I should say S-F. Now we are back to phonetic Sy-Fy... excuse me while I weep into Romulan Ale :?

Re: SyFy

Is it any worse than Gold changing to Dave? I might also point out that my wife watches Dave, so she is mystified as to why it's named after a bloke. Really, is this the best they can do, changing the name, like that will make any difference? Same programming, different name. I wonder what that wate...

Re: New Red Dwarf coming to Dave this year

Not as funny as back to reality, on which it's based, but this was a clever show nonetheless (it wasn't just Blade Runner that was being referenced). I think breaking into 3x parts was a bad idea as it made it slow to watch (not as slow as Skellig) as they had a good plot which didn't suit 3x 30 min...

Re: Anyone else like to see a credible Dan Dare movie made?

Hmm, actually no. The problem, for me, with DD is that it's values are based on WW2 heroes (and B&W war movies), as such it'll come over as a cliché. They may well have to change it's "stiff upper lip" basis to make a connection with anyone under the age of 40, and then what are we left with?

Re: And now It Ends

Loved every minute. I think I'd rather gave hot food at 4pm, my tummy was rumbling a lot.

Keep checking http://www.flickr.com/groups/sci-fi-london as more pictures will be added through the week and this will include the Saturday night crowd.

Re: My First Anime Allnighter CANT WAIT!!!

I missed "Girl who..."; loved every minute of Appleseed; Vexille was OK, but the ending was a real downer and they put in an unintentional laugh at the end (limpers chasing); Tekkon Kinkreet script was too arty for my taste, but I did like the anime style. Vanilla was definitely the best flavour :D

Re: Looking for Festival Volunteers

Hey guys, shouldn't we have received a message to gather for a pre-event meeting? Just checking in case I've missed an email somewhere.
