Re: AVATAR trailers are out

Saw the trailer before District 9. Certainly looked VERY pretty, I could gather a vague plot and considering there were few words that was quite cool. Of course, I may now have the incorrect plot in my mind...

Wolverine endings

Hi! Thanks for the preview showing of Wolverine! Louis mentioned that there are multiple endings after the credits. We go one of the old knacklehead in a bar. But apparently...SPOILER ALERT.. I hear there is an alternate ending where Deadpool lives, gets his mouth back and implies he gets his own sp...

Re: New Red Dwarf coming to Dave this year

It COULD be awesome. However at the risk of bringing hordes of derision upon myself I think that the humour of the series needs to be updated. At the time it was cutting edge, but now seems dated, hence the vitriol directed at the later series. Not that it is easy to write story, sci-fi and situatio...

Re: Spider-Man: The Musical

Webslinging on stage would be amazing. But it might destroy this beloved character some more.

Re: Perseus in Clash of the Titans…

Seems that they are remaking it. Lawrence (Raiders of the Lost Ark) Kasdan is writing it.

I don't know if it's worth it to be honest. Nothing can beat the stop motion monsters in it to my mind, a new version would be too much like Van Helsing *shudder*

Re: Dr Who ...New Companion...

Perhaps the BBC will hold some kind of 'Companion Idol' show where people compete to be the next Dr Who companion? I think that might destroy my brain however.

All I have heard is that they want someone with the similar impact that Billy Piper had.

Pretty cool and I think he will do well. Although I can't look at him without thinking of Johnson from Peep Show.

Re: New Who

I am sure you are correct Roosta and that some of the things on the list were from other episodes, but even those ones seemed just as disposable... For example, I get the impression the warp star was something given to Sarah Jane in her own series. Given by a Soothsayer for 'the end of the universe'...

Re: New Who

'Void Stuff' list from Episode 13. 1- Teleporter 2 – Dimension jumper device in the palm of the hand (also it’s ability to measure timelines) 3 - Osterhagen Key 4 – Warp Star 5 – Cellular Matriculation (or whatever it was that duplicated the Doctor into a warrior version of himself and make the Doct...

Re: Recommended reading: Y the Last Man

I concur that this is a very good series.

I am sure that many readers will identify with Yorick, the protagonist. I read it and he seemed to know all the same things as me and endlessly quote stuff like I do. Go figure.

Really? Surely that would make even less sense???

Also, did anyone else get the impression from the Titanic episode at xmas that the moral was'have lots of money and be selfish?'

Grrrr....

Best episode was Blink in my opinion. I assume that the Master is to return in some way what with his demise being not so permanent? I have to agree with Roosta as well that Katherine Tate is stunt casting that won't help the series and will probably make me more angry with it. Doctor Who is doing w...
