Most re-released film?
I think, unless anyone can correct me, it has to be Star Wars (i.e. the saga). I’ve just heard they’re releasing it all in 3D. How many different versions of this film are they going to make? I’m al ready refusing to buy it on Blu-ray because I have at least two different versions on DVD, plus I thi...

Re: Avatar – whose side were you on?
I just had an image of South Park's Erin Cartman saying something like, "Kill all the tree-hugging [blue] hippies!"Amon81 wrote:Humans are better, Kill all the bald furies!

Avatar – whose side were you on?
I watched Avatar with a few friends and there were definitely divided loyalties!

Hmm, good luck trying to sell that to the fanboys.

Ridley Scott promises 'tough' Alien prequel
Taken from the BBC’s website 28th April 2010 Director Sir Ridley Scott has revealed that his 3D Alien prequel will be "really nasty" and will respond to the standard set by James Cameron's Avatar. Speaking to Screen Daily, the film-maker said the movie, set in 2085, would be "the dark side of the mo...

Richard Kelly: Genius, or one-hit wonder?
I’m going to stick my neck out and say that most people liked Donnie Darko (with the exception of my Mum who said, “Why would anyone want to make a film like that?” upon watching it). But, since then, the general consensus is that Richard Kelly hasn’t exactly lived up to expectations. I’ve just watc...

Re: Worst droids in films?
I'm not sure about worse droids, but this reminds me that I need to kick Silent Running up my Lovefilm list. I've also heard that the robots are lovely, so am dialing down the expectations a chunk. Yeah, I posted something on how much they annoyed me on IMDB. Apparently, I'm in the minority. Everyo...

Worst droids in films?
I’ve just watched Silent Running and couldn’t really get over how useless the droids (or drones, as they called them) were. They had less personality than Red Dwarf’s Scutters! I just looked on IMDB.com and it seems I’m actually in the minority there as people seem to find them sweet. Are there any ...

Re: Futurama cast 'in doubt over pay'
Let's just hope it's some sort of marketing ploy by Fox to drum up awareness of the new series.

Futurama cast 'in doubt over pay'
Animated comedy Futurama could be voiced by new actors after the studio behind its comeback failed to reach an agreement with the original cast. According to the Hollywood Reporter, talks have broken down after a pay dispute with actors including John DiMaggio, Katey Sagal and Billy West. "We love t...

Re: Futurama to make return on US TV
I never thought much of the four "feature length" movies. I thought they concentrated on Bender too much - I think I must be the only person not to find him that funny. nope I don't think he's that funny either... I've seen sci-fi forums that would have us hung, drawn and quartered for such blasphe...
