SFL needs YOU -- for the pub quiz!

Okay guys, here's the deal -- I have challenged Dave Bradley to an SFX VS SFL showdown at the pub quiz this year, but we need a team. Chris and Louis have had to decline since they are putting the quiz together, so that leaves, er... me. Well, me and ADV Films' Hugh David, who is relishing the chance at whipping Bradley's buttocks.

So who's up for it? Yes, it's the day after the anime all-nighter, but the hardcore (I'm looking at YOU, Shinji!) will be able to handle it! Drop me a line (matt@sci-fi-london.com) or register your interest here -- we'll show THEM who are the better geeks!

Matt,

A SFX vs SFL butt-kicking sounds like fun, all in the spirit of fun, of course. I'd love to be a part of the team, so i guess i'm volunteering, mainly cuz my mate Stuart Claw maybe part of the SFX team, and I would relish a chance to go head-to-head in the quiz on the Sunday night. I'll be attending the festival for all five days, and have just booked the week of from work to make sure i don't miss a thing.

btw, just had a gander at the programme this year, and it looks awesome.

Hehe, he likes to think he knows it all, but don't got game all the time.

I'm not sure how evenly matched we are in our geekiness, but it's pretty close. hehe...

Which team do you mean?

The SFX-staff team will comprise of as many of the regular staff as can make it -- I know for a fact that Leah Holmes can't make it this year, but Dave Bradley will definately be there.

The SFX-forum team currently comprises of the following forum members: Moloch, Ghyste, Staticgirl and the man, the legend, the kickbanned... HBK. Priest is a possibility, but he hasn't yet confirmed.

And our team only has three confirmed members: me, you and the aforementioned Mr. David. Any more volunteers will be greatly appreciated -- I'd hate for us to come last!

Can I make a request that Louis brings along his copy of Gary Lockwood's book 2001 Memories to the quiz and reads us a few choice highlights again, that was one of the highlights of last years Festival.
