I saw a very funny film called GAMERZ at Gaelcon in Dublin last year, it's not out on DVD yet, I assume it's in the pipeline. It's an RPG comedy, with these really nice animated fantasy bits which represent the game world. Very effective, it looks kind of like a platform game. We all laughed our socks off. It's firmly PnP (=pen and paper), though, the main character doesn't even have a PC, and types his scenarios on a typewriter in his very sad bedroom. So let's hope the same guys consider doing an online RPG comedy. It didn't come across as a pisstake, very human characters, though I have yet to meet a real life roleplayer quite as sexy as the girl who plays the elf, but one lives in hope... Come on, screen it at the festival if it's not too late !!! (PS it's Glaswegian and some of the old Scottish vernacular is a bit impenetrable, but that all adds to the surreality of it all.)
Edit: here's the website:
http://www.gamerz-the-movie.com. I just watched the trailer, there's none of the animated bits in it
