A little like David Lynch but with a plot you can follow. I loved it.

I dunno I thought it was weird but not that entertaining, I saw it November 2004 at the Leeds Festival
I left not knowing quite what I thought about it.
Got it for my dad on dvd so maybe I'll watch it again.

the billynayer show.com .... its cory et al and all his works...got a mean noisy band...saw them at spitz last year..gather coming to uk again in november...got the dvd from the billy nayer show site..$20...so about £10?....
brilliant dvd got a good masterclass in how to make movies as well as a brilliant indie..funny film..

The best thing about the DVD of American Astronaut is the commentary - which is actually a film of Billy Nayer standing infront of a projection of the film with an audience talking about the film and answering questions. It is one of the most entertaining DVD extras I've ever come across...
As for the film - there are some great songs, some fantastic atmosphere and a wonderful sense of weirdness - but I must have seen it half a dozen times now and I still can't decide whether I actually love the damn thing or loathe it.
