New Scottish Sci-Fi film - The Planet
Hey there,
Hoping to kick off some interest in a film I've just produced, production designed, washed the sheets of etc.
The film is, 'The Planet' an original feature length digital film with absolutely no fan things in it. It stars a current WFF Mr Universe, a very big space battle and some rather mad monsters on an alien world where things just don't die easily.
We are currently looking for distribution, but the film is available via the website. If anyone is curious the check it out via the handy website button above.
If you need any information about the film or have any questions please email me and I'll get back to you.
Regards
Mike Clark

Thanks Elle, its taken a lot of hard work to get it finished. The sheets were very dirty on this one.
We're just starting to get it out to all the festivals now, and a global internet advertising bash of gourse.

Hey all,
I'm the co-producer/shaceship designer for the film,
just a wee update and some background info for you all,
ee have been getting a lot of national press coverage
and made headline news in the local press
you can check out the trailer at Stirton Productions
It has taken us about 2 years on a budget of about £8000 and
the main star is the current Mr Universe, Mike Mitchell.
It was filmed entirely in the North East of Scotland with local
actors.
The whole film was edited/composited on a Mac, and the CGI was done on 2 pc's and a Mac.
All off-the-shelf components, nothing fancy.
Esacpe pod was made out of a fibreglass watertank, all the ships were original
designs and the weapons were heavily disguised toy guns. I'm giving away all the
trade secrets here
The best bit (for me) was desiging and building the 3D computer models for the ships.
We tried to keep the ship designs unique and believable, not shiny and 'Star trek/Wars',
but used and abused.
Please feel free to ask any questions or comment on the film,
we are currently finalising the NTSC version of the DVD. The PAL version is complete
and is available off of the website.
regards,
Kerwin.

Hi Elle,
I see our co-producer has been busy marketing again, I'll have to give him a raise.
Since we were featured in the papers this week its been non stop, we have a few festivals coming up in the states and are hoping to get picked for the Cardif festival in a few months. If you want we can send you off a review copy of the movie, help put the word out in Londonland.
Let me know if you would like a copy and I'll arrange that.
Best regards
Michael Clark

Thanks for the info Elle,
A copy is trudging its way towards the Chris as I type.
You review style sounds pretty much like mine, but I leave out the grammer bit.
Cheers.
