First Black Doctor WHO!
First Black Doctor WHO!
Really looking forward to this, some more orginality being brought to the WHOverse.
Still, it is nearly a year and half away.

Pretty cool and I think he will do well. Although I can't look at him without thinking of Johnson from Peep Show.
"I'm out of it for a little while, everyone gets delusions of grandeur"
Re: First Black Doctor WHO!
I think he'd be great as the next Dr Who, but only if he plays it LIKE Johnson.
I'd love to see a slimey, slightly nastier Dr whooping some cyberman butt.
Christopher Ecleston should have played it 'darker' too. It might have meant he lasted a bit longer. His Dr was a bit too wet for my liking.

It seems to have been a fairly widespread rumour - Rich Johnston over at Lying in the Gutters was one of those sure it was Paterson Joseph and has posted a bit about how he got his info -> linky: search for 'PWNED BY NEIL GAIMAN'
Re: First Black Doctor WHO!
Last time we 'trust reliable sources for scoops', well certain reliable sources anyway.
As for all the rubbish I keep seeing about 'oh I am not sure he is right' etc - well, hasn't that been EVERY actor cast in the role and with few exceptions, they have all been decent enough Doctors - mostly they do what they can with the scripts they get - lately there has been decent scripts and a proper vision at the beeb.
Long may this 'kids' show continue to entertain the whole family!
And let's hope Sky don't f**k up Blake's 7
Now, anyone want to work with me on a series that is not a remake ?

Re: First Black Doctor WHO!
Well, if Freema Agyeman had stayed on for an extra year (beyond her 5 episodes as a UNIT stooge), we'd have had the DoctorMartha...
At least Patterson Joseph is the first black Greg Preston in the new Survivors
(The moral of this story is: take everything Rich Johnston says about Doctor Who with a pinch of salt)
